Our name is inspired by Kaffa, the legendary birthplace of Arabica coffee in the lush, wild highlands of southwestern Ethiopia. It is here that coffee has been cultivated, celebrated, and ritualized for centuries. That rich heritage is the heartbeat of everything we create.

Meet Our Founder

Aman Adinew

Founder & Chief Executive Officer

KaffaGo is led by Aman Adinew, a visionary coffee entrepreneur who has dedicated his career to building a sustainable, world-class gateway for Ethiopian coffee heritage.

In 2011, Aman founded METAD, a premier vertically integrated coffee enterprise. METAD manages family farms in the Oromia and Southern regions, oversees an out-grower network supporting over 15,000 smallholder farmers in Hambela and Yirgacheffe (Gedeb), and established Africa’s first privately owned SCA-certified specialty coffee laboratory.

Aman's contributions shape the coffee industry globally. As former Chief Operations Officer of the Ethiopia Commodity Exchange (ECX), he co-designed the specialty coffee grading infrastructure that anchors Ethiopian coffee quality today. He continues to impact the sector through direct board tenures with the Coffee Quality Institute (CQI), Cup of Excellence, the World Producers Forum, and the Ethiopian Coffee Exporters Association.
